How to connect Perfect Wiki to Microsoft Copilot.
- 1In Copilot Studio, open your agent (generative orchestration must be on) and go to Tools → Add a tool → New tool → Model Context Protocol.
- 2Enter the server name
perfect-wiki, a short description such as “Search and update the company knowledge base”, and the server URLhttps://api.perfectwiki.xyz/mcp. - 3Set Authentication to OAuth 2.0 and Type to Dynamic discovery, then click Create.
- 4Choose Create a new connection, sign in to Perfect Wiki, pick the knowledge base and click Allow access. Then Add to agent.

A Copilot Studio license or Copilot Credits (or a Microsoft 365 Copilot license), an agent with generative orchestration turned on, and any Perfect Wiki plan. Your Power Platform data policies also need to allow the connection.
Yes. Copilot Studio also supports API-key authentication, so you can connect with a Perfect Wiki API token sent in the Authorization header. OAuth is recommended so each person signs in with their own Perfect Wiki account.

Only if you allow it. When you connect with OAuth you choose read-only (wiki:read) or read & write (wiki:write) on the consent screen. Legacy API tokens always have full access to their knowledge base. Most MCP clients also ask for your confirmation before running a tool that writes.
Yes. Each connection is scoped to one knowledge base, so add the server once per knowledge base and give each a unique name — for example perfect-wiki-hr and perfect-wiki-engineering. The assistant can then search or update a specific knowledge base by name.
The Perfect Wiki MCP server only forwards the requests Microsoft Copilot makes. Tool results — the pages and answers it fetches — are passed to the model as part of the conversation and handled under your AI provider's data policy.
